About Veterans Ministry

Who We Are. Psalm 147:3: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Welcome to Veterans Ministry.

What we strive to be is a beacon of hope and support for our veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. You might be wondering why our website is called www.the22.org. It’s not just because it's short and easy to remember. Tragically, the number 22 represents the 22 veterans who will take their own lives today. It reflects the 22 we lost yesterday and the 22 we will lose tomorrow. Veterans Ministry was established with a singular purpose: to reach these individuals before their struggles overwhelm them.

However, we encountered an alarming issue. We discovered that the crisis of suicide is not limited to veterans alone; active military members and law enforcement officers are also suffering at alarming rates. When we look at the statistics, it becomes clear that the suicide rate among law enforcement officers is higher than that of the civilian population, and the military continues to lose one service member each day. As a result, our mission has expanded to support not only veterans but also active military personnel, first responders, and their families.

As an emerging mobile ministry, our core mission is to provide essential resources for spiritual guidance and mental well-being to those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our nation and communities.

At Veterans Ministry, we understand the unique challenges faced by those who have served. Whether you’re seeking spiritual comfort, emotional healing, or practical support, we’re here to walk alongside you. Our goal is to help you rediscover your purpose, heal, and find fulfillment.

We believe in the power of community and connection. That’s why we’re committed to helping individuals find welcoming churches where they can reignite their calling and continue to serve, should they choose. Through our online church services, Bible studies, and speaking engagements, we aim to reach individuals wherever they are, fostering a sense of belonging and support.

In addition to our outreach, we offer specialized services like church consulting to help establish veteran ministries. Our goal is to equip churches and organizations with the tools they need to effectively support and protect those who have sacrificed so much.

If you're interested in learning more about our services or how we can assist you, please explore our website and reach out via the “Book Us/Contact Us” tab.

Welcome to Veterans Ministry, where faith, service, and community converge to uplift and empower those who have bravely served our nation.

What We Do. We uplift, encourage, and support those in need.

Statistics reveal that suicide rates can be reduced, and lives can be saved—so the question remains: why aren’t they? While suicide prevention involves many factors, our mission is clear. Through our ministry, we strive to reflect the spirit of our nation's heroes by providing Support, Renewal, Outreach, and Salvation—the heart of our H.E.R.O.S. initiative. By reaching those who have courageously served, we believe we can be part of the solution in lowering suicide rates and restoring hope.

Our Mission: Empowering Heroes, One Crisis at a Time

We are committed to serving veterans, active-duty military, and first responders by offering crisis intervention, spiritual support, and access to vital mental health resources. In partnership with churches and community organizations, we work to close the gap between these heroes and the communities they protect—creating spaces for fellowship, healing, and connection with fellow veterans and law enforcement officers (LEOs). Through our Renew the Calling initiative, we inspire individuals to continue making an impact long after their formal service ends. Because while the uniform may come off, the calling to serve never has to. Born from a personal journey marked by both hardship and hope, this mission reflects a deep, lived understanding of the struggles faced by those who serve. That experience equips us to walk alongside them—offering empathy, faith, and practical tools to help restore purpose and reignite passion.

Our Foundation: The Great Commission
Rooted in scripture, our mission is guided by Matthew 28:16-20 and Galatians 6:1-3.

Matthew 28:16-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Galatians 6:1-3
"Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ."

H.E.R.O.S.
Our acronym reflects our mission:

  • H - Hope: Romans 15:13

  • E - Encouragement/Empowerment: 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Philippians 4:13

  • R - Renewal: Isaiah 40:31

  • O - Outreach: Matthew 28:19-20

  • S - Support: Galatians 6:2

Honoring Our Heroes, Serving with Purpose

Heroes come in many forms—military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders. These brave men and women embody courage, resilience, and sacrifice. But true heroism isn’t only found on the front lines; it’s also revealed through compassion, empathy, and the willingness to lift others up in times of need.

At Veterans Ministry, we honor and support these heroes—past, present, and future. We recognize their service, acknowledge their sacrifices, and stand with them in faith, offering a message of hope and healing grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

We're actively seeking partners, donors, and collaborators who share our passion for supporting those who have served our nation. Our highest priority is connecting with churches and organizations willing to open their doors so we can bring this message directly to the people who need it most.

Veterans Ministry is committed to addressing life’s toughest challenges through a biblical lens, offering practical solutions, spiritual support, and renewed purpose. All of our services are 100% free, made possible by the generosity of donors, sponsors, and love offerings.

If you’d like to bring Veterans Ministry to your community or learn more, use the “Book Us” tab on our website or email us directly at veteransministry@outlook.com.

Let’s work together to further the Kingdom and stand in the gap for those who have given so much.

My Journey to Veterans Ministry

I was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 1987, into a world already weighed down by hardship. My earliest memories were shaped by the presence of my military father, whose abusive behavior left both my mother and me scarred—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. After enduring seven months of his torment, my mother made the courageous decision to flee with me to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, severing ties with the past in hopes of a better future. But the road ahead remained difficult. My childhood was marked by instability, as I witnessed my mother enter relationships with men whose violence and addictions darkened our lives. Through it all, I found moments of peace and love within my maternal family, though their influence often struggled to reach me as I was pulled toward chaos and rebellion.

At 17, I left high school and dove headfirst into a life of recklessness—parties, substance abuse, and instability followed. I found myself evicted, alone, and searching for meaning. Then, in 2007, everything changed with the birth of my son. Around the same time, I met the woman who would later become my wife—two gifts of grace that would anchor me in the years to come. In 2008, I joined the U.S. Army, seeking structure and a renewed sense of purpose. While military service gave me direction, it also brought its own trials—deployments, injuries, and the psychological weight of war. After my service, I settled in South Carolina, where a persistent preacher continued to invite me to church. I finally accepted—and that moment changed my life. I encountered Jesus Christ in a personal and transformative way, and I knew I had been rescued, not just from my past, but for a purpose.

From there, I committed to growing spiritually and began serving in various roles within the church. Even through relocations, recovery from surgery, and the everyday challenges of life, my passion for ministry only deepened. I pursued further education and began building an online presence—not for fame, but to reach others who, like me, felt lost after service. In 2024, Veterans Ministry was born. This ministry is a reflection of my heart: to walk beside veterans, military personnel, and first responders with a message of hope, healing, and faith. I’ve stood in the boots of all three, and I know firsthand the feelings of isolation and struggle that can follow service. Though I had my wife and children beside me, I still felt unseen—until God gave me a new mission.

Today, I serve again—not in uniform, but in purpose. Veterans Ministry is here to offer spiritual guidance, mental health resources, and a community where those who serve can be seen, heard, and healed.

Welcome to Veterans Ministry—where you are not alone, and your service still matters.
